DIAMOND SORTING SERVICES FOR GEMSTONE TRADERS AND DIAMOND BUYERS
- A great percentage of small diamonds are cut and polished in India. Not only are these exported in large quantities, the domestic consumption levels are quite high. Such diamonds, normally referred as stars and mellee, need to be assorted carefully for the purpose of categorization and hence, value ACGS provides this service for diamond merchants and buyers who look to trade in lots of sorted goods.
- Assortment is carried out on the basis of color, clarity and cut.
- Assortment service is provided in respect of loose diamonds for sizes above +4 sieve size only.
- Minimum weight of packet accepted for assortment is 3.00 carats.

- Non-destructive testing methods only are employed.
- Distinction is made between natural and synthetic stones.
- If a treatment is detected, the same is indicated under “Comments”.
- Reports of geographic origin are provided in respect of emerald, ruby and sapphire, on specific request, and are charged separately.
- Gem Identification reports are provided in the following formats:
- Full report – indicating all parameters measured, characteristics observed and an image of the stone.
- Card report – indicating all vital characteristics and an image of the ston
