- All gemstones, diamonds, or other gem materials have to be submitted at the collection window of ACGS at its main office in Chandigarh.
- ACGS (Asiatic Center of Gemological Services) will not pickup specimens for testing from the office/shop of the submitter and will not deliver the specimen back to the submitter at their office/shop.
- An acknowledgement receipt / challan, carrying a serial number, will be issued for the specimen received, indicating the weight, general appearance, and description of the same. The likely date and time of delivery of the report are also reflected on the same. The challan will carry on it contact name and telephone number of the submitter.
- “Express Service” is provided against enhanced fee only.
- The specimen, along with the report, will be returned to the submitter, at the stipulated time against payment due to ACGS, on production of the acknowledgement receipt / challan at its office.
- While submitting pieces of jewelry for grading / identification, the weight of the stone / stones studded in the piece need to be informed by the submitter. • All submitters should go through the terms and conditions given on the reverse side of the test / grading report.

DIAMOND GRADING
Diamond Grading – Gemological Laboratory Services
- Service is provided in respect of cut and polished diamonds only.
- Minimum size acceptable for issuing a full report is 10 cents (0.1 carat).Grading is carried out only under controlled conditions,
- Grading is carried out only under controlled conditions, keeping in view GIA standards.
- Full grading report includes clarity, color, cut, fluorescence, and a plot diagram showing important clarity characteristics.
- Summary grading report contains same information as the full grading report but does not include any plot diagram.
- In case of doubt about the stone being a natural diamond, diamond grading report will not be issued and a fixed charge will be taken from the client.
- In case a diamond has been enhanced by HPHT treatment but the same is not detected in the laboratory during routineexamination, ACGS will not be responsible for the same.
- Fancy colored diamonds are graded for clarity, cut, and color; color grade is assigned as per parameters laid down by the GIA.
- Methodology – Each and every Diamond is certified after a thorough analysis and study by a qualified and experienced diamond grader. Each diamond undergoes rigorous and meticulous study and analysis before preparation of the report.
- Credibility – The laboratory is known for its credibility, impartiality and independence.
DIAMOND SORTING
DIAMOND SORTING SERVICES FOR GEMSTONE TRADERS AND DIAMOND BUYERS
- A great percentage of small diamonds are cut and polished in India. Not only are these exported in large quantities, the domestic consumption levels are quite high. Such diamonds, normally referred as stars and mellee, need to be assorted carefully for the purpose of categorization and hence, value ACGS provides this service for diamond merchants and buyers who look to trade in lots of sorted goods.
- Assortment is carried out on the basis of color, clarity and cut.
- Assortment service is provided in respect of loose diamonds for sizes above +4 sieve size only.
- Minimum weight of packet accepted for assortment is 3.00 carats.
DIAMONDS
Diamonds are available in all grades of color and clarity. We offer stones with XXX and VG cut grades. All diamonds are pre-examined at ACGS before being cleared for sale. We also make available GIA certified solitaires.
ACGS Diamond Grading Report is provided with all other solitaires at a nominal fee.

NAVRATNA SETS
Available in different sizes – for use in rings, pendants or in ear-rings. The nine gems are- ruby, diamond, coral, pearl, emerald, hessonite, blue sapphire, yellow sapphire and cat’s eye. Get the set with or without diamond.
PEARL TESTING
- Service is provided for natural, cultured, and imitation pearls in loose as well as mounted form, wherever testing conditions permit.
- Testing is carried out only under controlled laboratory conditions, in accordance with international gemological standards.
- Pearl testing includes determination of pearl type (natural / cultured / imitation), mollusk origin where possible, structure, surface characteristics, luster, shape, color, and size.
- Advanced gemological instruments and non-destructive testing techniques are used to examine nacre thickness, growth structures, surface features, and internal characteristics.
- The full pearl testing report includes identification, measurements, weight, color description, luster grade, surface quality, shape, and remarks on treatment, if any.
- A summary report contains essential identification details but may not include detailed structural observations.
- In case of doubt regarding the authenticity or origin of the pearl, a conclusive identification may not be issued, and a fixed laboratory examination charge will be applicable.
- If any treatment or enhancement is present but remains undetected during routine laboratory examination, the laboratory shall not be held responsible for the same.
- Dyed, treated, or composite pearls are clearly disclosed where detected during examination.
